Electrical Tips and TricksAdobe Flash Player on Android LollipopNeed flash player on Lollipop? Here's how to install Adobe Flash Player on Android Lollipop! Download Flash Player here: .apk fileFor those of you with latest Android 5.0, 5.0.1, 5.0.2, or 5.1 Lollipop OS, here's how to install Adobe Flash Player to view legacy Flash Player-enabled websites. You will need to use a Flash Player-compatible browser like Dolphin browser (which I highly recommend btw). This will allow you to enjoy all your flash content even on Lollipop. And yes, if you have a newer device like the Nexus 6 or Note 4 with latest Qualcomm 805 processor or higher, flash runs really fast. Step 1. Download and install Dolphin browser from Play Store. Step 2. Next download the Adobe Flash Player 11.1 and open the APK file. If you see “Install blocked” warning screen, hit “Settings”. Step 3. Enable “Unknown sources”. Step 4. If it doesn't install right away, you may have to re-open the file, use your Downloads app (if you have one). You can also download ES File Explorer app to open the Adobe Flash Player APK file, it should be in your Downloads folder. Step 5. Once Adobe Flash Player is installed, you go into Dolphin Browser settings and set “Flash player” to “Always on”. Step 6. Go to a flash-enabled site like wechoosethemoon.org and verify flash works. This method will work on all Android smartphones and tablets running the latest Android Lollipop (should also work fine on KitKat). I've verified working fine also on my Galaxy Note 4, Note 3, and Galaxy S5. No root is required. FAQ Q: Can I use another browser? A: Yes, you can use any browser that supports Flash Player. Unfortunately, my favorite browser Chrome does not support it but you can use browers like Dolphin, Firefox, and many more. If your browser support flash, there will be a setting for it in browser settings. Q: Can I use on any Android device? A: Yup, you can use on any Android smartphone or tablet with Android 5.0, 5.0.1, 5.0.2, 5.1, and probably will work on future Android versions too. Q: Why would I want to install Flash Player on my phone? A: While flash has been discontinued for many years, there's still many flash-only sites you can only view with Adobe Flash Player. If you have one of the latest Android smartphones, flash actually runs really fast and you can enjoy all of flash-enabled sites right there on your Android smartphone or tablet. |
